The practical part.
Do we have to be a Scaleup Finance client already?
No. This works as a standalone project without buying any of our other finance services. It helps that we already do finance for 300+ startups and scaleups, because it means we know what your numbers mean and not just where they sit.
Our data is a mess. Will this even work?
Yes, and you do not need to clean it first. Matching records, catching duplicates and agreeing what each number means is step three of the process above, not something you have to do before you call us.
Do we need someone technical on our side?
No. We do the technical work. You will need a few hours from whoever knows how your processes really work, because that knowledge is not written down anywhere.
Do we have to connect every system?
No. We connect what your first project needs. Anything you add later reuses the connections already in place, which is why the second build costs a fraction of the first.
What is the AI platform you keep mentioning?
It is the system we have developed for connecting sources, modelling data and building dashboards and assistants on top of them. It is the reason a new dashboard is hours of work rather than months, because we are not inventing the machinery again for every customer. The platform is ours. What we build for you on it is yours.
Who owns the data and the solution?
You keep your data and the custom solution, code and documentation we build for you. We agree the handover before work starts. Third-party software, hosting and AI services remain subject to their own licences and running costs.
Will we be dependent on Scaleup Finance afterwards?
You can choose a handover so your own team or another provider can run and develop the custom solution. We agree code, documentation and administrator access as part of the scope. Retainer support is optional. Hosting, software and AI services may have their own ongoing subscriptions.
Who can see what?
Access is set per user and enforced at the data layer, before a record reaches a dashboard or an answer. A salesperson sees their own accounts. Only authorised people see payroll.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. We use business and API services configured without training on your inputs, and we agree the provider, the retention settings and the access rules before anything is rolled out.
